The Mitten Tree stems from a need I had in my own household. Living in Alaska, winters are long and the best way to make it through winter is to get out and play. I needed some way to corral all the wet, snowy hats and gloves that my kids thought "belonged" on the entryway floor. Now we load up the mitten tree with our wet gear, plant it and ourselves around the woodstove to warm up and dry out before our next adventure!
There are sixteen handforged steel 4" branches welded to a 1/2" square center trunk. The mitten tree is primed and painted a flat black. Overal height including the finial is 32" and the footprint is approximately 10" x 10".
